Subject Specific Citation Information

The Chicago Manual of Style is frequently used in the field of History, along with APA and MLA citation. The Chicago Manual of Style is comprised of two systems; typically the author-date system is followed in the field of History.

The following is an example of the author-date system:

(Book by one author)

Pollan, Michael. 2006. The Omnivore’s Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals. New York: Penguin.

In text citation-- (Pollan 2006,76-80)
