Theater & Drama Literature

This guide will cover Theater & Drama resources. This guide is also used for Dr. Gifford's TH193 class.

Search Tips

  • Have a plan: what are you interested in, what do you want to say about it, what supporting evidence do you need?

  • But also: take what the research fairies give you: look for related terms, interesting nooks and crannies, side topics that seem to have lots of information

  • Use keywords rather than sentences and be creative- look for synonyms, alternative keywords

  • Connect synonyms with OR, different ideas with AND (try doing both with and without: changes the search, can find helpful things both ways)

  • Search in the right places. A couple of recommendations:

  • MLA International Bibliography + Humanities Source,

  • Gale Literature
